We are now two locations later. That is what
happens when you have no internet or very poor internet. A lot has happened since
my last posts. But before I start on our current adventures I must mention something
that was neat back in Oklahoma on route 66. If you take route 66 East out of
Oklahoma City there is a portion of the road that has those very annoying groves.
But these groves are not annoying they are unique – at least they were to me.
There is a sign before informing you that if you go 25 MPH while driving over
the groves it will play God Bless America – It did and it was unusual.
OK so we departed New Mexico and headed to Arizona.
Now as usual I try to stay at military bases and this stop was to be no
different. So my book shows a FamCamp for Luke AFB, which is outside of Phoenix,
but we are heading to Flagstaff (which has an elevation of almost 7000 feet).
Phoenix is 140 miles south of us and this place is in the woods. That’s OK it
is a great place to stage out of.
